Depth push-ups with dumbbells: #FitnessFriday with Shefit™

Happy Friday! You can do these special push-ups almost anywhere for a serious arm workout. I incorporate them into this special routine inspired by my own trainer, Omar Henderson of Body By “O”.

If you don’t have dumbbells, you can improvise with yoga blocks, so long as they keep steady.

Aim for 10-20 reps 3-5 times, based on beginner through advanced:
  • Spider push-ups, each side
  • Plank hold, 20 sec.
  • Diamond push-ups
  • Speed crunches, 20 sec
  • Depth push-ups (as shown)
  • Bicycle abs, 20 sec.
  • Gators
  • Plank hold, 20 sec.
  • Staggered push-ups, each side
  • Leg lifts, 20 sec.

Working out should be simple enough to do at home, at your favorite gym or when traveling. However you choose to stay active—weights, running, team sports, exercise classes, or power yoga—be sure keep it simple, change up your routine every so often, and have a training plan!
