What sounds worse than taking a shot of apple cider vinegar? The answer is absolutely nothing. But, what sounds better than cleansing your entire immune system and becoming a happier, healthier you? Nothing! Apple cider vinegar can be used topically to improve the appearance of skin, ingested to give your immune system a boost and clear out all of that internal gunk, AND (this one might shock you) you can bathe in it for a relaxing detox. We, at Shefit headquarters, are intrigued by the benefits of apple cider vinegar and have decided that we are going to participate in an Apple Cider Vinegar Detox Challenge. The only question we have for you is this: are you in?! Take a second to search below through different detox and cleanse options that you feel would best support you. Because in the end, we all need to be supported in the best way, right?
Why detox in the first place? Aside from all of the physical benefits such as appetite suppression, regulation of blood sugar, prevention of fat accumulation, and overall detoxification of the body (healthyandnaturalworld.com), it also has a significant impact on the aging process. Throughout our lives, we ingest so many chemicals and toxins that our bodies have major build up often going unnoticed. Taking the time to flush all of those out will give your body a chance to rest, reset, and rejuvenate. We would recommend pairing a detox with a healthy dose of daily sweat. Get in the gym for at least 30 minutes a day and give your body the TLC it deserves.
So what if you think all of this sounds great, but you’re not sure if you really need to cleanse or detox? Here is a list of signs that say you’re body is telling you you need to be flushed out:
- Constipation – This could result from a bad diet, stress or chemicals and other toxic substances that cause the colon to try and protect itself by producing more mucus, which eventually builds up on the bowel walls.
- Aches – Headaches, backaches and sciatic pain may be the result of an impacted colon.
- Fatigue – Toxic residue in your colon can circulate through the blood to all parts of the body, causing fatigue.
- Odor – Bad breath, body odor and gas can occur when the colon releases toxic gas into the body.
- Acne – A clogged colon can cause toxins to overwhelm the pores and cause acne. (davidwolfe.com)
