Emerge provides Medium Impact support for C–D cups and High Impact support for A–B cups. It has lightly padded, seamless cups, two-way stretch fabric, adjustable straps and rib band, and a front zipper.

Flex uses four-way stretch fabric and seamless molded cups to create shape. The Flex is unpadded and has 1inch-1.25inch adjustable shoulder straps and a 2 inch wide adjustable rib cage band. While the Emerge uses two-way stretch fabric and has sewn in padded cups that are also molded to give shape. However, the Emerge adjustable straps and rib cage band are scaled with each size to reduce bulk but still offer the support promised by SHEFIT. Straps widths range from ⅝ inches to 1 1/4 inches. The Rib Cage band width ranges from 1 inch to 1 ½ inches.
Which activities should I consider Medium Impact support for?
Your sports bra should not be defined by your activity first, but by the support you need for your boobs. While the industry classifies medium impact bras and suggest activities, the reality is your boobs should determine the support level. Both the Flex and Emerge offer medium support for cups C–D and can offer high support for A-B cups. The main difference with the Emerge and Flex sports bra is that the Emrge was designed for comfort if you would like to wear your sports bra all day long.

Do Flex and Emerge use the same sizing guidance?
The Flex Sports Bra has convertible straps that can be configured in X-back or H-back allowing for more adjustability in the rib cage. Most women can wear the same size in the Flex and Emerge, however in some cases where women are in between sizes two different sizes could be possible. As always, we suggest using your actual bust and rib cage measurements to select your size and review each chart.
